Author of a collection of short stories, A Lover Needs a Guitar published by McClelland and Stewart. David Lewis was a teacher, a storyteller, and a columnist for the Bridgetown Monitor. His column Here and There often focussed on local happenings and stories from his community. A number of these stories were developed into short stories, published in Macleans magazine and later in his book.
